These models use different GPU families, so driver advice depends on your model.

GPU driver advice

Snapdragon 865 (Adreno 650): Turnip (Mesa) is the go-to. Qualcomm's stock drivers on 6xx are old and weaker for Switch/PC emulation.

Dimensity 1100 (Mali-G77 MC9): Adreno packages (Turnip, Qualcomm) don't apply to ARM Mali. On Valhall-and-newer Mali (G57, G68, G77, G610, G615, G710, G715, G720, G925) you can try the experimental open PanVK kbase driver in apps that load a custom Vulkan driver; otherwise use the system driver, keep firmware updated and choose Vulkan where offered. Older Bifrost Mali (G52, G76) should stay on the system driver.

Day-one checklist

1. Install all OTA system updates first.
2. Use Performance mode for most games and High performance + Smart/Sport fan for Switch/PC games.
3. Install a custom Adreno driver for Switch/PC/3DS emulators (guide). Check which chip your model has first (see Models above).
