GPU driver advice
Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (Adreno 740, Base, Pro, Max): Test both: current Turnip builds and the newest Qualcomm driver. Turnip usually wins for Switch and older PC games; Qualcomm sometimes wins for newer DX12 titles.
Snapdragon 865 (Adreno 650, Lite): Turnip (Mesa) is the go-to. Qualcomm's stock drivers on 6xx are old and weaker for Switch/PC emulation.
Day-one checklist
- Install all OTA system updates first.
- Use Performance mode for most games and High performance + Smart/Sport fan for Switch/PC games.
- Install a custom Adreno driver for Switch/PC/3DS emulators (guide). Check which chip your model has first (see Models above).
