GPU driver advice
PC handheld: Android GPU driver packages don't apply. Use the vendor driver (AMD Adrenalin / Intel Arc on Windows, or SteamOS / your Linux distro's Mesa updates).
Day-one checklist
- Run Windows Update and the maker's control app (Armoury Crate, Legion Space, MSI Center M, etc.), and update the BIOS from the official support page.
- Install the latest AMD Adrenalin / Intel Arc graphics driver from the vendor site, or update SteamOS.
- Set a TDP/performance profile per game, and cap FPS to match the screen (40/60).
- Use FSR/XeSS upscaling in-game before lowering texture quality.
- For emulation, use the desktop builds of the emulators. ES-DE is free on PC.
